Afghans, Afghanistan and Americans

The events in Afghanistan are disconcerting. U.S.A. cannot appreciate the vast difference in cultures. They are bombing indiscriminately, rendering millions of Afghans homeless through direct destruction and through fear of raining bombs. The Afghans have no infrastructures that could be destroyed. The sophisticated cruise missiles and smart bombs are being wasted in demolishing the mud houses of a society living in sub human conditions.

I can see the courageous Afghans after the bombing raids trying to put together their minimal belongings, a few pieces of wooden rafters and a few pieces of cobblestone and start reconstruction of their dwellings that once were thatched huts. On the contrary bombing gives them living as they start collecting the scrape after the raids and sell it for what ever they can get in the market. The entire nation has a simple life style. They live on dried bread dipped in a bowl of water. Their expectations from life are scanty and the loss they can suffer is negligible. They remain unruffled by the bombing raids and resume simple routines of life after the aircrafts leave the skies.

Can somebody tell the American top brass that Afghan Mujahideen are not so naive so as to wait in big cities for heavy American bombardment, to welcome and embrace death? In such cases they are, over the last twenty years, used to taking to the safety of mountains and wait for the enemy. They cannot be reached in the mountains without a heavy toll of enemy troops. In this scenario only the citizens can be killed through aerial attacks.

Instinctively an Afghan is an astute, fighter, shrewd strategist on his home pitch with the agility of a leopard and cunning of fox. The dwellings of Afghans do not require elaborate materials or arrangements. These are generally built with mud prepared on the spot from dirt and earth. Besides they need and actually have only a pair of clothes and a bare minimum of cooking utensils to support their austere life style. There are neither any encumbrances nor any attractions in their life. Their military capability cannot be destroyed because they have none.

Are there no qualms of conscience in America while they use most destructive weapons on people that cannot retaliate in the same measure? Is it bravery or cowardice to avoid ground action or fly beyond the range of anti aircraft fire and throw bombs indiscriminately to annihilate innocent civilians? Is it sufficient compensation for loss of human life when you say "We know some bombs went astray and may have killed civilians?" U.S.A. disbelieves the number of causalities reported in hundreds. She believes and accepts only that which serves her purpose.

When U.S.A. disputes the civilian causalities they are only losing morally. Lesser the casualty, higher the average cost of securing a dead body of an innocent Afghan. If 400 are accepted dead with 400 cruise missiles the average cost of killing a civilian is not less than $3 Million. Accounting for the overall operation and mobilization, the cost is likely to cross $10 Million a piece (an Afghan dead body). What a colossal waist of Tax payers' money? Do Americans know how they are being impoverished in a mad act of aggression? There were other better options to resolve the issue of Bin Laden.

The Americans thought they were mighty and could force the issue and subjugate the Afghans into submission. They were mistaken! They are poor students of human history. They better read the history of Afghanistan since the time of Alexander. Tony Blair the Britisher has failed in his duty to his master Bush (the Brutish) by concealing his knowledge and experience about British expeditions in Afghanistan. Then recent history of USSR's invasion of Afghanistan is well known to USA. The disintegration of USSR did not even cross the minds of U.S. bullies before launching the brutal attacks.

Instead they should do a thorough search for the root cause [The Real Evil Behind The Global Turmoil] of intense hatred for USA around the globe, with special reference to Muslims.
