Existence of God

According to a group of people among the freethinkers or the atheists, all the chaos, hatred and hostility seen in this world is the outcome of religions. They consider the Prophets as liars and the revelation of God a fabrication. They need logic for every thing and base every phenomenon on science. Apart from the research of scientists everything is heresy according to their thinking. Instead of arguing about the authenticity and logic regarding a large number of religious issues and verdicts, it is much wiser to save time and be very specific. Let the debate be about the core issue, the main source of religion, which is God! Because No God No Religion! ...

Basic Issues

On the day of judgement, the criteria for success would be based upon the belief and faith of an individual. If the belief and faith is according to The Quran and Sunnah and of course based on the pure concept of Tauheed (Monotheism) then the good deeds will be beneficial and the sins forgiven (Insha Allah). On the other hand if some one does not build a foundation of Tauheed for his deeds and presents himself as a Mushrik (Polytheist) then no matter how big his deeds are, they would not be beneficial ...

Explanation of Tauheed i.e. Oneness of God

The internal matter for Tauheed is the word "Wahdah", which means "Oneness", and is used for someone who is alone and distinguished in his entity and quality. This is the belief that holds true for "The One and The Only God". There is no one like Him and neither is there anyone that shares with Him, anything, from His entity and qualities ...

Correct Meaning of the Word "Wasila" in Quran

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised his relatives to do good deeds. He clearly told them that it was not possible for him to save them from Allah's anger. He specifically made it very clear to his own daughter Fatima (r.a), that he would be unable do anything for her, once in front of Allah on the day of judgement. He advised her to do good deeds in order to save her self from Allah's wrath ...

Intimating Wasila Regarding Rank or Status of a Dead Person

This article is a research on some commonly quoted narrations which people use for their support regarding the concept of intimating wasila in invocations with relation to rank or status of a dead person. These narrations are weak and unauthentic and cannot serve as solid evidence. Recognized concept of Wasila is by doing good deeds, by intimating Names and Qualities of Allah during invocation or with supplication of a living person, all of which are supported by Quran and Hadith and are free from controversy ...

Worship Derived From Polytheistic Beliefs

If the latter-day polytheists were to say, "We do not mean that those whose help we seek can by themselves benefit us and cure the sick among us or be of use to us or hurt us; we only mean to seek their intercession with Allah for us, the answer to such an observation cshould be that the disbelievers of the early period also had the same purpose and desire; they too did not believe that their gods create or give livelihood or do good or harm ...

Seeking Help from The Prophet

Anyone who prays to other than Allah, seeks his help or gives offering to him or slaughters an animal or offers a prayer to him will be adopting someone as rival to Allah, whether he be a Prophet or a devout person or a king or jinn or an idol or anything else ...

Seeking Help From Jinns and Satan

Whoever takes a Prophet or a jinn or a stone or a tree for the purpose of invocation along with Allah and seeks their help or tries to gain nearness to them by offering vows and sacrifices in the hope that they may intercede with Allah on his behalf, or in the hope of getting cured from some illness, or of safeguarding of wealth or safety for a person who is away or for any other purpose, commits the major crime of Shirk (polytheism) ...

My brethren in Islam! Acquiring knowledge is the duty of every Muslim. If you have a desire for knowledge and are eager to get it, make an effort to understand the Qur'an and Sunnah, strive to find out the way of the righteous and guided people of early era of Islam. Following The Ahaadeeth is a Fundamental of Islam

Allah's Messenger said: Every one from my ummah will go to heaven except for that person who denies. The companions of the Prophet asked, who that person could be. Allah's Messenger replied: whoever obeys me, will go to heaven and whoever disobeys me, denies (i.e. denies going to heaven) [Bukhari] ...

Innovation (Bid'ah) in Religion

An Introduction to The Science of Hadith

Allah caused the Muslim nation to produce outstanding individuals of incredible memory-skills and analytical expertise, who journeyed tirelessly to collect hundreds of thousands of narrations and distinguish the true words of precious wisdom of their Messenger (s.a.w), from those corrupted by weak memories, from forgeries by unscrupulous liars, and from the statements of the enormous number of 'ulama' ...

Classification of Hadith - Part 1

Muslims agree upon that the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) is the second of the two revealed fundamental sources of Islam, after the Glorious Qur'an. The authentic sunnah is contained within the vast body of Hadith literature. A hadith (pl. ahadith) is composed of two parts: the "Matn" (text) and the "Isnad" (chain of reporters). A text may seem to be logical and reasonable but it needs an authentic isnad with reliable reporters to be acceptable ...

Classification of Hadith - Part 2

Now a days we find Mulsims divided into various groups and sects. The likely cause for this anti Islamic act seems to be the lack of knowledge and tolerance. One field which needs more attention is the knowledge of Hadeeth and its Authenticity. Rather than quarreling over ahadeeth in favor for one's sect or group, it is far more better to have a logical parameter regarding the selection of ahadeeth, thus saving ourselves from the curse of groupings and religious sects. This article provides some useful details regarding hadeeth classification. Understand it carefully and apply it before you accept a hadeeth. Although this might be a little difficult for most of us but don't forget ...

The Concept of Islam

No one bothers to read the Qur'an. Even if it is read occasionally (subject to mood), understanding it, is considered to be the job of the scholars. People want to treat it as a magician’s crystal ball. No one is really bothered to know what Allah is trying to tell us in His book about Islam. So why not behave like a Muslim and open the Qur'an and see for ourselves what this book says about Islam ...

Understanding Islam

And it is a matter of common sense that this obedience cannot ensure in full measure unless man knows certain basic facts of life and possesses firm faith in them. What are those facts? Practice of The Noble Imams & Believers

To blindly follow is to make knowledge ineffective. The real function of the intellect is to think, ponder, meditate and dig up hidden points and the significance of ideas. The intellect is a light for the guidance of life, Allah has bestowed this light upon every human being. But very few use this, most put off this light and walk in darkness. By chance if the blind followers find an action or saying of a Companion of the Prophet which is against a Hadith, they infer immediately that perhaps the Companion did not know this Hadith. But, if they come across a Hadith which is against the words of their Imam, instead of accepting it with the same sound reasoning, they defend their Imam with absurd and baseless interpretations ...

Should a Muslim Follow a Particular Mazhab?

If anyone accepts Islam, he has only to testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad (s.a.w) is His messenger, to perform the prayers five times a day, to pay Zakat, to fast in the month of Ramadan and to make the pilgrimage to the House of Allah (the Kabah) if he is able to do so. It is certainly not necessary for him to follow any Mazhab i.e. Hanafi, Shafi, Maliki or Hanbali. If he does so, in the eyes of Islamic law, he will be considered a wrongdoer, prejudiced and sinful person, and will be treated among those who divided the religion of Islam into different sects. Allah has strongly condemned those who create dissension in Islam ...

About Blind Following

The best way to follow is the way of Allah's Messenger, his Companions and their followers. Sectarian following brings nothing but destruction, and it is an innovation in religion. This heresy was introduced by kings and rulers to attain their political ends and save themselves and their empires. The criterion for judging the truth is not the man who is uttering it, but know the truth itself, you will come to know the man and his character ...

Research Regarding Blind Following

For an individual who loves all Imams equally and benefits from all of them in various religious matters, and acts upon the view which is more near to the Qur'an and Sunnah, is acting in a way which is appreciable and is in accordance with the way of the faithful. He who deviates from the right way of Tabe'in (those who immediately followed the Companions) and sticks to one specific Imam and is prejudiced in his favor, is similar to one who leaves aside all Companions of the Prophet and follows one only, as the Shi'as and Khiwarij do. Qur'an, Hadith and Ijma denounce them ...

Blind Following or Taqleed

Taking the opinions and analogies of the scholars is like the use of Tayammum (dry ablution) which is only used when water is not available. So, when the Qur'anic text and tradition is accessible, it is obligatory to act according to these and not go after the words of an Imam. But blind followers depend upon Tayammum which is absolutely erroneous in the presence of water ...

Misconceptions About Taqleed

If you interpret opposing the Imam as insulting him, then opposing the Messenger of Allah is more obviously insulting him, in fact it is open Kufar, from which we seek refuge with Allah! If this is said to them, they cannot answer to it, by Allah, except one retort which we hear time and time again from some of them: "We have left this Sunnah trusting in the Imam of the Mazhab, and he was more learned about the Sunnah than us" ...
