To the leaders of the Islamic
World... To Islamic Organizations and Charities around the world... To
human rights organisations, we ask: What are the characteristics of the
people you defend, and do the people of Chechnya qualify for
a share of your efforts?
To women's rights groups:
Women in Chechnya are being attacked and dishonoured. They are being tortured
and beaten, do the women of Chechnya have any rights?
To animal rights organisations:
Livestock and the environment are being destroyed and burnt in Chechnya,
do they have any rights?
To doctors and journalists,
to all Muslims, and indeed to all people around the world.. Is it not time
for you to open your eyes? Is it not time for you to awaken from your slumber?
Children have been orphaned, women have been widowed and the elderly have
been murdered...enough of this slaughter!
Your silence is a disastrous
embarrassment...why then do you remain silent? What is it that you are
waiting for? For the people of Chechnya to be exterminated? Or for our
country to be wiped out? Or for our religion to be extinguished?
Let not the care of Russian
mothers for their soldiers, the very soldiers who are committing these
atrocities, be greater than your love for your brothers and sisters in
Chechnya. Will you care for the lives of your brothers and sisters? Will
you care if they are slaughtered? Will you care for their right to live?
If the unbelieving polytheist Orthodox Crucifixers in Russia and their
brethren in the West joined ranks in Churches and prayed for the victory
of the Serbs during the genocide in Bosnia, why do you, the People of Faith
not hasten to pray for your brothers and sisters in Chechnya? Is there
a difference between Chechnya on one hand and Bosnia or Kosova on the other?
The Muslims of Chechnya are
being subjected to a calculated and systematic war or extermination by
the Russians. This holocaust is going unchallenged by the people of goodness
and faith, and is even receiving unlimited backing and support from certain
quarters. The people of Chechnya suffered from a war of extermination during
Soviet colonial times during the reign of the infidel Stalin. They are
now being subjected to another war of extermination at the hands of the
Russian Government. This latest war of extermination is being supervised
by Jews and is receiving limitless support from the West that is hateful
of Islam and Muslims; This slaughter is taking place in full view of the
entire world - where are the people of goodness and faith? Why do they
not work to bring an end to this shame?
Russia would never have been
able to conduct this war of extermination without the support it received
from the World Bank, NATO and other so-called international organisations.
When the fighting was at its peak, Russia received US$40 million in aid.
This was followed by another US$00 million and the halving of Russia's
US$40 billion foreign debt. In stark and painful contrast, how much aid
have the Muslims given to their brothers and sisters in Chechnya?
Where was the World community
when Grozny was being turned into a wasteland? Where was the World community
when every building was destroyed, and when the corpses littering the streets
gave way to the plague? Where was the World community when 400 innocent
people were massacred in the village of Katyr-Yurt during a single day?
Indeed, where was the World
community as 5000 Muslims were plunged into the dungeons and torture chambers
of the Astinia concentration camp? If this war of extermination was truly
"an internal affair," what makes it different then from the situation in
East Timor? Why were voices raised and red lights illuminated in East Timor?
Why did the World community hasten to threaten, promise, attack, defend,
build and rebuild in East Timor and not in Chechnya?
Chechnya was part of the
Soviet Union, and with the collapse of the Soviet Union, Chechnya was no
longer bound legally or in any other way to Russia, which itself was also
part of the Soviet Union. What gives Russia the right to occupy and dominate
other parts of the former-Soviet state? And what makes Chechnya different
from Georgia, Armenia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia - Christian states,
some of which are smaller than Chechnya, but nevertheless received full
support and had their independence recognized? Truly the scales are unbalanced
when the fate of Muslims is in question.
This is conclusive evidence
of the dark hatred against Islam and Muslims. Although every proof has
been established to support the cause of the Muslims in Chechnya, the fact
remains, as Allah describes it:
" With regards to a believer,
they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors " [Quran 9:10]
" And never will the Jews and the Christians be pleased with you until you follow their religion..." [Quran 2:120]
Will the Muslims heed this
call? Will they support their brothers and sisters and bring victory to
their deen?
